Workshops and Classes
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, most in-person events are currently on hold.
Learn at Laurel Oak through our planting classes and workshops! Throughout the season we offer a number of "how to" classes, designed to give you the knowledge you need to get your gardening on. Stop in the Garden Center, subscribe to our newsletter, or check this page to learn about upcoming events.
Feed the Fish
Bring the little ones for an outing they will love - feeding the fish in our huge display pond! Kids big and little will marvel at the frenzy of fish that appear at the pond's edge. Put your hand in the water and feel the fish nibble your fingers - if you dare!
Display Ponds & Waterfalls
Interested in adding a water feature to your outdoor space? Get great ideas on how to design and install one from our display pond and other water features throughout the nursery!
Photos with Santa for People and Pets
Photos with Santa is back! Taking place Saturday, Dec 5 & 12 from 11a-2p. Photos will be outdoors and appropriately distanced. Masks are required at all times, even during photos. Bring the entire family, including well-behaved four-footed members!
Laurel Oak is lucky to be on the big man's list for a visit each Christmas. And, he happily spends his time posing for photos with two- and four-footed family members. So, gather up the kids, put Fido's leash on and bring everyone in for a free photo (please bring your own phone or camera), some hot cocoa and more! We partner with the AWA and Friends of Burlington County, so please consider bringing a toy or other donation for the shelter animals. Stay tuned for 2020 dates!
September 5 Monarch Butterfly Release
On Saturday, September 5, we were visited by local butterfly authorities, Glenn and Sean Curtis, for a butterfly workshop and Monarch butterfly release. Participants got to see and touch caterpillars, chrysalises, milkweed and butterflies and learned how to attract and support these disappearing pollinators.
